Monday night...
with Kyle and Ashley. Tonight I made Indian Fry bread for dinner. Refried beans and all the fixin's then my favorite, honey and powdered sugar. Yum!!
Kyle and Ashley gave Bobby a High School Musical card with a gift card for the movies in it for his birthday. Some people think he is joking when he says he wants to see the movie, but it is true. We already set the date, he can hardly wait.
It's a bad hair day for Miley!

Hello Punk!!!
While looking for my blogging pictures, I came across this video on my camera. I guess I should pay more attention what goes on in the back seat. SCARY!!
It's Over!
Last night our church sponsored a Fall Festival for the town of Buckeye. The numbers aren't in yet but they estimated over 3000 people attended the event. I, (known as bossy, by my Mom) was in charge of the "south side" food area. I had a total of 15 people working with me and only 7 on those actually were members of our church. I recruited family and food handlers from the schools in our district to volunteer for the night. I was a little worried when the health inspector showed up but he didn't stay long and just gave us a few ideas for next year. Whew!!
I'm wondering what Rod was sharing that he has my food handlers all giving him their attention? Looks like the "stockers" have the drinks under control!
Our neighbors showed up for the fun!! They helped me out by keeping Tiffany for the afternoon so she wouldn't have to be at the park for 9 hours on Sunday. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Thanks to everyone who volunteered in the "south side" food area! It couldn't have run so smoothly without you. Way to go, team!!!

Countdown to June 2010!!
This morning I went with Ashley and her Mom, Marcy, to a bridal show at Trilogy, located in the Vistancia community of Peoria. Our former neighbor Lorie, and her daughter Jamie both had a booth at the show. Lorie is a florist and Jamie does hair and make-up for weddings. After Ashley had her hair done, we watched the fashion show then enjoyed sampling food and wedding cake. We had a lot of laughs as the 3 of us got in a photo booth for a picture together. We still have a while before the big day but excitement is definately building as decisions are made.
I am so glad Ashley and Marcy let me be a part of this fun day!

Countdown!!
Only 3 more days till the big Fall Festival that our church is hosting. This is the event that Bobby has been building all the games for. So tonight, myself and Teresa head to Sam's Club to start the shopping for our food areas. After 2 1/2 hours and 4 trips to the check out we were done! Bobby loaded up the Tahoe and the trailer with 1000 hamburgers, 600 hot dogs, all the buns, 1600 bags of chips, 1200 bottles of water, 32 cases of soda, nacho chips and cheese, 200 pounds of sugar, condiments and everything else we needed. We got a lot of stares and some asked us questions which allowed us to share about our church and the event.
Then it was off to the church to unload it all!! Thanks to our husbands and daughters for helping!!

Bobby worked for a couple of weeks with Kyle and Ashley on a project for school. He has been very eager to get "his" grade and the news came in today! Check out Kyle and Ashley's blog to view the video and see the grade! Way to go!!

Update...
on my feet. Yesterday was the first day in about 2 years that I have not had any pain in my feet. In fact when I came home from work I actually wanted to get on the treadmill but Bobby helped me decide that it probably wouldn't be a good idea. I don't know how long it will last, but for now they're good!

Last Day
Ah, the last day of fall break! Started out early this morning planting flowers with the girls...
then after 1 1/2 hours in the doctors office and 3 cortisone shots later, ended up like this.
That is something I hope to never have to go through again. OUCH!!

Flower Street Car Wash
The neighbor kids started washing cars for a little extra money today.
I wonder what it is going to look like in the daylight???? Oh well, they had fun and it kept them busy!

Meeting Friends
This morning we went to the park to watch our neighbor, Nick, play t-ball. I remember those days with Kyle. Kids sitting down on the field, kids wanting to go home, balls going between legs, runners passing other runners to get to home plate, batting helments bobbling on their little heads and everyone getting to bat and play in the field. This is where it all begins. What a fun time!!!
Tiffany met up with some of her friends and Miley met a new friend. Coffee is a 4 month old Shih Tzu just like Miley.

Knock, Knock..Who's There??
Not very often do we have visitors to our house but look who showed up on our doorstep! Kenny and Susie left their home in Tucson a day early to spend the night at our house before heading to CA for the week. Now they are 2 hours closer to their destination! See how that works people? Come stay with us on your way to the beach!!
Even though it was a quick stay, we enjoyed our time with them. Bobby and Kenny played a round of golf on Friday afternoon while us girls went to visit Susie's daughter Kate. I woke up this morning realizing I didn't get pictures of the golfers so they had to pose in the backyard.
Thanks for the visit!
This afternoon Tiffany and Miley were playing in the backyard when the sprinklers came on and got her all wet. Brrr...Poor thing, she was shivering so we dried her off and put her sweater on her. She curled up on her bag and fell fast asleep, all toasty warm. She was exhausted after staying up till 11:30 with me and Susie. She is out!!

New tricks
Tiffany worked on her serves...
and Miley learned how to get down the stairs by herself instead of waiting to be carried down.
Nothing new for Bobby and I except sore arms from getting flu shots. Ouch!! Oh yeah, I got my results back from my blood work. Everything was good, even my cholesterol. Pretty good for a fast food lover!

Happy Birthday to me!!
As usual, on Monday, Kyle and Ashley came out to the house for dinner. However, since my birthday is tomorrow they said they would purchase the food, prepare the dinner and clean up the kitchen. Yippee!!We had sweet and sour chicken on top of white rice with green beans and a roll and dined out on the back patio. Delicious!!
Oh, and chocolate cake!
As promised, they cleaned up the kitchen.
Thanks for a nice birthday meal!
