Had to pass this along!

Just saw this post on my friends blog and had to post it on mine for my family to see. Hopefully Susie doesn't mind. While she was cleaning out her e-mails, she came across this one. Susie is talking about becoming a Grandma for the first time.

I woke up this morning and wondered if I had dreamed the news-tell me it's true-we are sooooo excited!!!! But I do need a name other than grandma-sounds too blah

love mom- nana, nan, granny (NO), although that was my name for my grandma-how did Amy get Baca and PaDaddy?

I filled her in on how the names came about.

Tiffany had a doctor appointment this morning (not the sweet part) at Greenway and I17. Guess what we had for lunch? Yes!!
We couldn't get that close and not go!! We used to go here every Sunday night after church and I mean EVERY Sunday night! Some things never change....

Tiffany had refried beans and a cheese crisp and I had my teriyaki rice bowl but my favorite is the snickerdoodle that comes with every meal. Yum!!

Birthday Party

Look at these natural curls! I took Tiff to the salon with me yesterday and had layers put in her hair. Love it! Then, headed to the mall with Miley to have birthday pictures taken. (see previous post for portraits)

As you can see, "Puppies" is the theme for Tiffany's 10th birthday party. We had fun putting together party favor bags with puppy tattoos, puppy stickers, paw print sticky note pads, dog bone candies and more. We made puppy chow to snack on and went to pick up her cute puppy cake from my friend, Dawn. I think we are ready.

Now it is 11:30 and all the girls are in Tiff's room getting ready to watch High School Musical 3 and hopefully settle down for the night since Bobby is trying to sleep. Right! What was I thinking?

I am getting up tomorrow and making pancakes and bacon before they all head home. I guess I better try to get some sleep.

It is now 3:00am and they are still laughing, talking and running up and down the stairs. I have decided that I am too old for slumber parties!

This is what girls look like who have only had a couple hours of sleep. This is going to be one crabby long day, I'm afraid!!

Chris and Alyssa you were right! The girls told me this morning that they tried to talk Tiffany into making snow cones (one of her gifts) in the middle of the night. Could you imagine what that would have been like coming downstairs to one stickey mess in the kitchen? Oh, man! Thank goodness Tiff was against that idea!!

I have already said "no more slumber parties"!! I'm crabby myself! I will definitely be taking a nap today!!

Day at the Lake

We canceled our camping trip and went to the lake instead. We were thinking that it would be really hot but it turned out to be a great day at the lake. Not that many people. Maybe because it was going to be 115 degrees today but that wouldn't stop us. We stayed in a cove and played, talked, ate and floated in the water for 6 hours. We already planned another trip. Hopefully Jenni will get to join us next time!
