Summertime Blues!

It's come down to this.

It's been 25 years since we have been at a house with no pool! Nothing to do.

What a Race!

Tiff swam the anchor leg of the medley relay last night. When she entered the pool they were in second place. Watch her leg of the race.

Go Tiff, Go! She touched the wall at the last second and they took 1st place.
Here is the video from the last meet that I wanted to post.

Birthday Pup

Our pampered pooch had a birthday today. Can't believe she is already 2 years old. When I woke up this morning, Tiffany had made her this birthday cake with peanut butter frosting. Yum! Yum!

Father's Day

We met up with the Brannon side of the family for lunch on Father's Day. What a cute waitress we had!

Answered Prayer

After watching our neighbors walk away from their homes one by one and leaving them to go into foreclosure, we prayed that we would be able to sell ours. Sure enough, our prayers were answered and this past week we closed on our Flower St. house. Hallelujah!

Swim Meet

While gone to South Carolina, Tiffany missed 2 swim meets so this week was her first meet for the summer. Her strokes are looking good! 1st place in breast stroke today.

Darn!! This is all I could get, my battery went dead. Hopefully a video will be coming soon.

Take 2

or 3, 4, 5, 6 etc. While in Hilton Head, I wanted to update our beach jumping picture that I had been using since 2007.

We never were able to get it taken at the beach, so we tried at the campground. Tried and tried, then tried again. Thought you might like to see the attempts.
All down....
All up and blurry.
My hand in Bobby's face.
Boys up, Girls down. Go Kyle, great height!
Ashley showing off her muscles!
Never got everyone looking good in the same picture but had a nice workout. I guess the one on my header page will have to do until we can get to the beach again.

Hilton Head

After the wedding, we were off to Hilton Head Island. On the way, we heard on the radio that the water temp was in the 80's (not bad) and the waves could reach up to 2 feet. Ooooo.. not what we are used to that's for sure!
We had a great location! Shopping, food, movies all right across the street and then down a block was the beach.

This was a little too close for me. A river behind the building to the side of us.

No fences, just the grassy bank. Bill and the girls were standing in that grass right in front of this thing. One night we walked to Bill and Chris' place down the street, only to find out the next morning a man staying in the same place, spotted the alligator in the street where we had been. Later in the week we spotted 2 babies. Yikes!!

Fun at the beach. Yes, that is Kyle and Ashley with us. They were staying about 4 miles away and decided to join us at the beach a few days.

Notice the sunburn. Ouch!!

The girls didn't seem to have any trouble adapting to this ocean.

Bill on the other hand.... BORED! After the first day, he said that he was done at the beach. No waves to ride, no stunt kites, and no frisbees. Notice the rule on the guard chair, Don't swim out too far. Before long, the lifeguard was blowing her whistle. Yes, it was Bill, out too far.

This is how we stayed cool each day. It was too hot up on the beach, so we would bring the chairs down to the water.

On Tuesday, we all went to Baca and Padaddy's RV for a birthday cook out. Kyle turned 22 while we were there.

Ashley's grandpa, uncle, aunt and cousin were also on the island and joined us.

Had to get matching shirts for everyone. Unfortunately, Jenni, Rod and Serena were not able to make the trip.

Days filled with fun on the beach.....

with eating, shopping and beautiful sunsets to enjoy in the evenings.

All good things must come to an end. Back on the plane to head home to a welcome surprise, 70 degree temperature! Nice!!
