A wedding, a wedding....

and another wedding. That's what I have been up to. Yesterday I took the day off from work to deliver and set up a wedding at Orange Tree Golf Resort in Scottsdale for Lorie.

Then, today I went back to Scottsdale for a wedding at Gainey Ranch Golf Club.

Then drove back to Lorie's house in Peoria, picked up the last load and met up with her at the Blackstone Country Club in Vistancia.

Look who was there working. It's Ashley's mom.
Turns out Ashley was suppose to be working the wedding also, but was at home sick.

This is so much fun, it doesn't even seem like work! Lorie does such a great job designing, everyone always loves her work. She is still not done. She has another wedding tomorrow!

Progress!

Tiffany has been taking band for about a month now. She went from not being able to blow the thing, to 2 songs that she can play.

Mary had a little lamb.....

and Twinkle, twinkle little star.

She is still working on this one.

On Thursday, we had our 1st quarter awards assembly. The PE teacher gave Tiffany a certificate that read, Most Well Behaved Student at Tartesso Elementary. (in PE) What? Are you kidding me? The principal asked her what her favorite sport was and she said basketball. News to me. Anyway, she also was awarded a certificate for perfect attendance and on the honor roll for the 1st quarter. Awesome, Tiff!

What a sport!

While I was delivering and setting up weddings for Lorie, Bobby was at home doing the laundry and selling snacks at the park for the PTO, for me. Not exactly what you want to do on your birthday, but he did it anyway. Gotta love this guy! Happy Birthday!

Frustrating, Exhausting....

that is what I have to say about my first day of fall break. Today was the day that Tiffany was suppose to go in for her CAT scan and MRI but she was sick earlier in the week so we had to reschedule the procedures. I had been putting off the blood work, so today I thought we would get it done. I scheduled the appointment so we wouldn't have to wait too long but still waited 40 minutes (with her complaining that she was tired and hungry) before she was called back. We get that done and then we go in for the urine sample. She couldn't go, so we went to get some lunch and came back. Still nothing so we left again and went to Sam's Club and back. Again, nothing. Did I mention that I had already gone 3 times myself! I waited 4 hours, that's 4 hours for her to go, which explains the title of this post!!!! I didn't make my other stops before heading home and went immediately upstairs to take a nap.

We have......

a honor roll student living here!!
Way to go, Tiffany!! Keep up the good work!

Who would have thought....

that when we went to this little girl's 2nd birthday party,

that she would eventually end up dating my son,
and now 20 years later, she's planning their wedding!
Happy Birthday to my future daughter-in-law!!

Have a great day, Ashley!!

Could this be why?

This is what my life has become and why I'm not blogging as much. The PTO is collecting these.....
and they are recycled into these....

which then turns into this!
So far our school has collected 2942 of these and I'm the one that brings them home, empties all the juice, washes off the "sticky" and dries them so we can send them in to be recycled. All the ones in the top picture, I brought home just from today!

We also have the penny war going on so I've been counting pennies also! It's a dirty job, but someone's gotta do it!!

Night Out

I guess we don't take Tiff out enough. We got off the freeway in downtown Phoenix, and her first comment was "Are these houses?" Then, she noticed the skyscrapers and told us that she learned about these at school, but has never seen any. We then realized she has never been to a professional ball game of any kind. How sad is that? Here are some pictures from last night when our Sunday School class went to the Diamondback game.
Our friends, the Hood's joined us.

Tiffany has been talking about this for days! She had to have a foam finger. Here she comes with her big purchase, and proudly waving it.

This is what it looks like from the cheap seats!
Here comes the "wave"!

7th inning stretch

It turned out to be a good game and we came away with a win!!
We did have the best seats in the house for the fireworks!

After the game, we enjoyed the Mercy Me concert till 11:00. This was WAY passed our bedtime, but we were glad we stayed for it all.

What a fun night!!

HUH??

All these years I have jokingly said that Tiffany has "selective" hearing. Well this afternoon, we took her to an ENT doctor and it was confirmed that she actually has hearing loss in her right ear. The doctor found some inflammation behind her eardrum and so we will be scheduling a CAT scan, MRI and some blood work for her. Please pray that this isn't anything too serious. I'll keep you posted!

Family Fun Day

Last night we went over to Kyle's apartment complex where he and Ashley hosted our family fun day.
Swimming,

eating,

and a lot of catching up since Stephanie has moved back here from Flagstaff and Baca & Padaddy just returned from their summer trip.

We never made it over to the sand volleyball courts. Maybe next time!
Thanks Kyle & Ashley!

Labor Day...

BBQ at the Bible's house.

Making a Joyful NOISE!!

This year at the school, they are offering band to the 4th -6th graders. Tiffany had first said that she didn't want to be in the band and then last night changed her mind. Then, she said she would like to play the bongos. Oh my!

She made her decision. It's the flute. Whew!!
