Annabelle Rae Brannon

Here is the story.....After being sent to the hospital 3 times with high blood pressure, the doctor scheduled Ashley to be induced one week before her due date. So on Sunday, April 17th, Kyle and Ashley waited by the phone for the hospital to call to tell them they had a bed available and to come on in. Finally, the call came through and they were to arrive at 6:00pm.

Very eager and ready for their baby girl to get here.

Wishing her Dad and Kelly would have been here, but they were glad to skype with them for a while before contractions kicked in.

Ashley's mom and siblings arrived. Yes, we were playing cards.

Progression was very slow to start so while Kyle tried to get a little sleep, Ashley's friends Holly, Jenn and myself took her for hour long walks at a time around the maternity floor.
Finally, after a long night and following day, it was time. Wow, what an amazing experience that was for me and Marci to be in the delivery room to see our children's faces as they witnessed their own child's birth and saw our granddaughter take her very first breath. Tears of joy were flowing!

Bella Rae was born April 18th, 2011 at 4:33pm. She weighed in at 6lbs 12 ozs and was 20 inches long.

Pioneer Days Parade

Tiffany's band played at the Pioneer Days Parade.

Interesting parade. Lots of horses...

clowns and tractors...

A camel and VW van?????

Look at the little boy in the passenger seat of the van. He was sitting in his carseat bobbing his head to the loud music with his hat on sideways. Cute!

ALL THESE, ONLY IN A BUCKEYE PARADE!!!

Celebrities!

While Tiff is at band, I like to go into the gym and watch the girls basketball game. This week they played against Sundance where Kyle and Ashley teach so they came to watch. When they walked in, you would have thought they were celebrities. The girls yelled "Hi Mrs. Brannon and Mr. B" waving to them across the gym. Then a shy little girl came up behind Kyle, tapped him on the shoulder and quietly said, "Hi Mr. B." Very cool to see how the students react to them.

Practicing pays off!

After only playing 2 weeks on the trumpet, Tiffany decided to skip challenging the 2nd chair player and challenged the 1st chair and won. She is now playing 1st chair trumpet! I'm so proud of her!

Loud!

Less than a week after trading her flute in for the trumpet, Tiffany practices often and is already playing songs. She is definitely enjoying the switch. Mom, Dad and all the neighbors are wondering why we let her. It's loud!!

Thinking I could use some earplugs! Tiffany has decided so give up the flute for a trumpet. Much louder!!
