It's beginning...

to look a lot like Christmas at the Brannon house. I love decorating for the holidays and want it up as soon as Thanksgiving is over so that I can enjoy it all month long. So, we worked hard and got it all done this weekend. All 3 trees are up..
the living room tree,
the family room tree,
and the game room tree.
The stairs are done,
my village and nativity are on display,

and Bobby completed the outside of the house.

Yes, it's definitely looking like Christmas around here. Now I need to wrap the gifts and address the envelopes for our cards. I love Christmas time!!

So Cute!

Miley has found a new resting place.

Giving Thanks

Thanksgiving morning we headed into town for a Thanksgiving brunch with my side of the family. This was the view from of our side of the White Tanks.

We had a delicious breakfast and enjoyed our time there.

Everyone else had other places to go but we stayed for the afternoon and I was able to convince Mom to let me put up her tree for her. I love Christmas decorating and will be doing mine on Saturday. Can't wait!!
As we headed back home we ran into stormy skies and rain.

Bobby's sister and her family stayed with us Thursday night and then again on Friday after we had the Brannon side Thanksgiving at our house. I made the turkey (my second one ever). It was one big bird!!We enjoyed playing games all afternoon. We had a lot of laughs, however, I think some were directed at me. How rude!!

I

It wouldn't be Thanksgiving without our family picture. This is usually the only time the Brannon side can get together so we always end up taking a picture. The second pose is for my nephew Jon. He and his wife couldn't make it this year but we were thinking of him. Wish you were here!

I have so much to be thankful for. Great family and friends, a beautiful home, food in my pantry, and good health, just to name a few. I hope you took some time out of your day to give thanks! Happy Thanksgiving!!

Birthday Shout Out

Today is my sister's birthday. Enjoy your day!

Happy Birthday, Jenni!!

Makeover Day

My dust mop is gone! Today Miley went in for her first, full service groom. I liked her all fluffy but as you can see, she was a little out of control.

Tiffany and Miley with the wind blowing through their hair!

Ahh!! She looks cute and smells good but before too long she will be back to being my dust mop.

Decorating Flower St.

We had 8 families go in on a rental to install all of our second stories with Christmas lights today. Bobby started at 6:45 this morning and went non-stop all day. The last one finished and off he went to return it by 8:00 tonight. Our street is going to be looking great for the holidays!

Repeat!

I am paying for the fun I had at our picnic on Saturday. My foot started hurting again and when I went in to see my foot doctor, he gave me 2 more cortisone shots. I am not liking this!!

Another fun weekend!

Tiffany had a lock-in at church Friday night and took our neighbor, Alexa with her. Looks like they had a great time playing guitar hero. Now she wants that for Christmas.

Here is the new girl band, "Flower Street Girls".

Saturday afternoon we had a Sunday School picnic at the Tartesso Sports Park. We had fun playing pickle ball,

volleyball,

CLR (not for money this time),

and just playing around.

We have a WINNER!!

Last night was the last night of this session of tennis lessons. The 9 kids in the class played a little tournament and Tiffany was the only one that was undefeated. Yeah for Tiff!!

Are you wondering where the video and pictures are from her matches? Well, I was the ref or ump or whatever you call them for tennis, on court 4 so I couldn't take them. I just know Kyle is laughing it up right now, but really I was. I must admit, I really knew what I was doing (at least for the level of tennis they were playing). It must have been from all those matches I sat through watching Kyle!! If only I could play the game!!

Tonight's the night!!

Tonight was the night for Bobby to cash in on his B-day gift. We went to the theater by the stadium where the Cardinals were hosting Monday night football so there were a lot of people around, but not at the movie theater. I was beginning to think we would have our own private showing but 5 other people showed up as the previews were playing. After the movies we had dinner at Johnny Rockets.

Road trip

Last night we met up with my family at Palmcroft to go to church. It was good to be back in our old section of pews and to see our friends from there. It was also good to see Melanie and her daughter, Alyssa, one of our childhood family friends, who was in town for a visit. When my Mom told me she was going to be there, the first memory that came to mind was all those nights our parents would get together and play cards. We would roam the neighborhood gathering up locust shells. For what, I don't remember but it kept us busy.

Afterwards, we all hit the restrooms before heading home and stopped for some gas. As Bobby was cleaning the windshield ,Tiff said, "it's like we are on a vacation or something"!
