School's Out for Summer!

Since this was the last week of school, we had all kinds of activities throughout the week. Monday was field day. (Sorry, no pictures. I was preparing for lunch.) That same day in the afternoon, a selected group of students were chosen to play against the teachers in a basketball game and Tiffany was chosen to play.

Toby made an appearance. He is one of the items that the PTO purchased this year. The students go crazy when they see him!

Wednesday was the awards ceremony. Tiffany received a certificate from the PE teacher for participating in the basketball game. Earlier in the year she received the "Best PE student at Tartesso". She also made honor roll again. This is the first year she has made the honor roll for every quarter. Awesome, Tiff!!!

She has always struggled with reading and this year she began reading more and seems to enjoy it. I'm sure having something to do with the honor roll.

Walking to school this morning.

I also was presented an award at the assembly yesterday. Our principal called me out of the kitchen to give me this nice plaque.

Next... grad parties, haircuts, pedicures, grooming appointments (Miley), doct appointments and the wedding! Before too long, the summer will be over and we will be back at school!

WOW - what an exciting post! Congrats to Tif and Amy for your awards - AWESOME!!!! I love Toby - great idea!!! Is it Bobby inside?? Ha. Don't get ahead of yourself with the summer - take one day at a time and ENJOY THE JOURNEY (I think there is a wonderful blog, with that same title!!). Really though, soak it all in. The Lord has blessed you with a lot to celebrate.

Tiffany reading a book while walking to school reminds us of Stephanie - always finding time to read! Best PE student? - She gets that from Baca - Most athletic in her senior class!!! Honor Roll student? Now who did she inherit that from? Must be Aunt Chris. Nice plaque Amy - we're glad your efforts were rewarded.
