WARNING.......

New school and new kids so I had to do the heart attack thing again this year. Not really what you want to see outside an eating establishment, but you get the idea.

These just in!

I just came from seeing the foot doctor. After another shot of cortisone, I walked away with these. My new orthotics!! I have been waiting for them because they were $400.00 and our insurance wouldn't cover them. In January, our insurance changed and covered them 100%. Yes!! I am excited to see if they help my feet. Hopefully, I can get back on the treadmill soon and start losing some weight and maybe take up playing tennis.

Superbowl Sunday

We went over to my Mom and Dad's again to watch the Cardinals play. This time, in the Superbowl! With Rod there this time, he kept us laughing with all his comments. Although they lost, it was an exciting game to watch. We even joined in this time. No, we didn't purchase Cardinal gear, but we did wear red. Even Miley was in red!

Here is everyone watching the 3D commercial with our glasses.

You put on a great show, Cardinals!!

Looking for patience

Bobby has been spending a lot of time this last week making a commercial, with a little help from Tiffany and our neighbors, Bruce and Alexa. He helps in children's church every Sunday with the power point, sound equipment and anything else they ask him to do. Most recently he has started a puppet ministry and made a puppet stage for them to use. They have been studying about the fruits of the spirit and this week is about patience. It is finally done!

Like I said, Bobby does whatever they ask him to do. Here is "Joseph" and his coat of many colors.

Funny! Well, maybe not!!

As you know, all of my family go on a summer vacation together, usually to the beach. Well, I e-mailed everyone and told them that because of the uncertainty of Bobby's job and having to go to South Carolina next summer for the wedding, we would just be able to go camping someplace close and cheap this summer. In Chris' spare time, she came up with the top 10 reasons for us all to go on a.....

"Camping Vacation".
10) 50th Anniversary expenses
9) out of state wedding expenses
8) school loans
7) job lay off
6) decline in new home construction
5) bad real estate market
4) lost home
3) practicing homelessness
2) still paying for 2008 vacation
1) FLAT BROKE

I laughed, then realized someone in my family has experienced everyone of these. So, no beach vacation for me this summer.

Any ideas??

We need to get Miley's registration turned in to the kennel club and we are having trouble coming up with her full name. Our last dog that we had registered was Brannon's Golden Nicolette and we call her Nikki. Does anyone have any good ideas for her name?

O, Happy Day!!!

Remember this picture from a post in July with Tiffany and her 24 build a bears?
Well, after getting 12 hours of sleep last night, thanks to Bobby getting up with Miley (she continues to get up at our weekday time of 4:00 am instead of sleeping in on the weekends). I awoke to 4 garbage bags full of stuffed animals and build a bears that Tiffany no longer wants to keep. Yipee!!!! So, before she changed her mind I took pictures of them and posted them on craigslist. It's only about half of them but it's a start!

Great weekend!!

Didn't we have great weather this past weekend? Saturday we rode our bikes to the park with 8 other Flower St. residents and let the kids play for a while before heading back home. It was so nice out!!

Sunday after church we went to my parents house to watch the big game. We just could not wear Cardinal red, but did cheer for the Cardinals in our Dolphin colors. What a game!

Can't find the "golden child" anywhere? He was here, cheering them on. La tee dah!
but met up with us at......

Gotta love those snickerdoodles!

Monday, we went to see Paul Robert Hunsaker and take Grandma Susie a dozen snickerdoodles. I can see why this little guy has changed the lives of all around him. He is a cutie!
Then back home to get ready to go back to work. Great weather, family and friends makes for a great weekend!!

Family fun!!

Since I was all alone with nothing to do but clean house, I decided to join the rest of the family on an outing tonight. We boarded the brand new metro rail to Tempe...

got off at Mill and ate at the Chronic Taco,

then walked to the ASU women's basketball game.

Check out Chris, on her feet cheering for the lady devils in her team apparel. ASU! ASU! ASU! She has turned out to be quite the ASU fan, attending a few different sporting events throughout the year. She never showed this much team spirit for the Cortez Colts. What's up with that? I guess in her old age she has decided it doesn't matter if you get a little crazy at the game. Oh, and it's okay that someone else has on the same outfit that you are wearing! Way to loosen up and have some fun, Chris!!

What a fun night!!

Off to camp!

Friday morning I dropped off Bobby and Tiffany at the church so they could head to winter camp in Prescott. They will be gone until Sunday afternoon so I will be on my own.

They are off and I am heading home to clean house and pay bills. Exciting, huh?

Christmas with Ashley

Since Ashley was in South Carolina for Christmas, we exchanged gifts with her today.

Isn't it funny how Kyle has so much fun with the gifts that he purchases for others. It reminded me of the year he bought me Dance, Dance, Revolution for HIS X-Box.

I guess I only have to cook once a month instead of once a week! Yeah!!

Before they left, I started pulling out the boxes to put away all the decorations. This is the first year that I was actually anxious to put it all away. Miley, that's all I need to say.
