All I can say is, I'm glad it's over! Does that tell you how my day went? It was a learning experience. The cook had to throw away a full pan of burgers because instead of putting them in the warmer, she left them in the oven and they all dried out. Oops!! Therefore, she had to run in and cook more because she ran out. Thank goodness she planned for 100 instead of 50 like my boss thought or we would have been way behind. The principal even came in and helped us serve. We ended up serving 127 kids for lunch which isn't many but for a new cook, new server and a new school on the first day in 1 hour was a little overwhelming. Now she understands why I say we need to prepare today for tomorrow. Oh, let's not forget the custodian that was suppose to have the tables set up at 10:00 so we can clean and sanitize them and be ready at 10:30 for kindergarten. He came strolling in at 10:25! Why is it that we have PE going on in the cafeteria at the same time I am serving lunch? I had this little kindergartner come over during his PE time and want to eat again and oh the noise!! Tomorrow has got to be better!!!
As for Tiffany, since Kyle was at home last night, she could sleep in a little longer but had to show up at school early so that I could put her hair up before we served breakfast. Unfortunately, she will need to get up at 5:15 each morning and go to work with me. Here she is in my office before heading out for her first day.
I'll leave you with something positive , instead of a 25 minute freeway drive to school, we have a 3 minute drive. That is nice!! When it gets cooler we can ride our bikes.

It's got to get better - couldn't be much worse! Tiffany looks like she's happy to go back to school this year.
I love her backpack, too cute. The school is lucky to have you on board - you'll have them whipped into shape in just a few days - (hopefully!!) Daniel starts tomorrow - instead of an outfit for myself - I think I'm buying a new car!! Hey, I've been at this for 20 years now!!
